Distinctive Unit Insignia

Description

A shield shaped gold metal and epoxied device 1 5/32 (2.94cm) blazoned as follows: Azure, issuant from a wavy base Buff, a stylized mountains Proper; a chief Gyronny of thirteen Gules and Or, overall a mullet Tenn. Attached below the shield a red tripartite scroll inscribed with VICTORY FROM SUPPORT in gold.

Symbolism

The colors and division of the shield represent the State flag of Arizona and the terrain of the units location. The unit was stood up under the shadow of Camelback Mountain. Buff and Scarlet are the colors used for Support units and the wavy base further alludes to the mountainous terrain.

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia

Description

On a shield shaped embroidered item 3 3/8inches (8.57cm) in height, edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) yellow border, blazoned as follows: Azure, issuant from stylized mountains Proper; a chief Gyronny of seven Or and Gules, overall a mullet Tenn fimbriated Or.



Symbolism
The colors and division of the shield represent the State flag of Arizona and the terrain of the units location. The unit was stood up under the shadow of Camelback Mountain.

Background
